Rob Zombie is so hit and miss for me. I adored House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects, and Halloween, and I loathed Halloween 2 and The Lords of Salem. I'm hoping this one won't leave me feeling disappointed.
Agreed. In rank, from best to worst, I put them...
1. The Devil's Rejects
2. House of 1000 Corpses
3. Halloween
4. The Lords of Salem
5. Halloween 2
I hope this, 31, is a return to his older stuff. (Rejects and House)
That's about exactly how I would put them but with Lords of Salem last. I hated that movie. I agree, I really hope he goes back to doing them the way he use to. I love his casting decisions and the dialogue he comes up with, I just can't stand how he's chosen to make his more recent films so out there and crazy.
Since this has once again become a is Rod Zombie good or not debate. He just did an interview explaining how he improved upon Halloween http://moviepilot.com/posts/2014/07/...manual#!bpb89b

I like Coke and Pepsi. It is possible.
Not surprising just from the mere fact he releases this garbage thinking it's actually good. Also not surprising are the RZ fan's that would back him up on that claim with hopes of getting a ride on his pogo-stick or an "atta-boy" mention on his site. So he can say his version of Halloween is better than an absolute horror classic but if you call him out on anything he bans you from his page. Yup, I'll say it again...he's a douche that should stay away from making movies.
I still have yet to see Halloween 2, but still willing to give 31 a chance.
 Either you have been reading up on my older posts in some threads around here or you are someone that has been around with a new account!
You prove another point though! Someone like RZ saying his version of Halloween is better than Carpenter's yet he digs around into Michael as a kid which is a big no-no and adds a ghost horse in the sequel. The dude can't make movies!
Wait for RZ's Halloween 3. They have the first production still and it looks badass! They have a working title of Halloween 3: Get Off My Back, Biatch!
Looks terrifying :hide:

I just know and I hope, there isn't a single horror fan that doesn't hate that f*cking white horse.
Michael driving a car is frowned upon by MR. RZ. But a white ghost horse is "visionary". Please, a retard eating a corn dog and mesmerized by the ferris wheel at a local carnival probably drew that up as he got mustard on his shirt. He used his drawing to clean it off, only smearing it more and threw the picture away. Zombie picked it up and used the idea in Halloween 2.
Call him crazy for thinking that and lets take bets how long before he kicks you from his page!
While I don't agree with Zombie's comments, no film is flawless and that "article" is full of dumb responses drudging up plot hole filling devices from the sequels. Sure Zombie may have had some gripes with the original and while some of them may be unfounded, he does have a point in others like Loomis being a nut in the sequels.
Bottom line is that while RZ's Halloween isn't better than the original it actually is better than the majority of the sequels. Also, while RZ's H2 was not good I see where he was going and it's still better than Halloween: Ressurection or even H6.
RZ gets a lot of hate and not nearly all of it is deserved. There are a lot worse film makers out there that get praise heaped on them.
Busta Rhymes doing kung-fu on Michael Myers :die:
I 100% agree with you on that. I figured if this debate was going to happen (like it always does) id just post it and get it over with. Oddly enough i looked at his fan page due to you and whispers posting that he had responded to it but didnt see anythig. As ive said in the past i dont hate or blindly love zombie. The only film of his that i hate is Halloween 2.
