Holy crap are you serious???? That scene is one of my favorites of all time, I'm having someone paint me a depiction of that scene on a canvas to display in my living room (no I'm not joking) It was an actual guy in zombie make-up fighting a shark under water....fighting a shark underwater!!!!! Frigging shark suits werent made yet and this guy was down there wrestling a shark.
(sorry for the rant I just love that scene :appl1:)
Anyway I think the original TCM is overrated...it's alright but I dont see it as this masterpiece that everyone else seems to. Really though I like too many horror movies I had a tough time coming up with one.
Make some real replies instead of using that smilie king :cussing:
Okay how about this: You're a fuckin whack job!
I'm picky about my horror movies. I can't help that the ones I listed are boring to me. I'm not in it for the gore. I'm in it for the story and the scares.
Well I guess people telling me the supposed remake of Dawn of the Dead is better than George A Romeros king of kings zombie flick pisses me off. They dont compare at all and the people who say that dont understand there are more to Romeros movies than meets the eye.
Then I must be blind.
Nah just maybe lower standards.
I'm picky though. The reason why I liked the remake is because it kept my interest. Sure, I'm positive George's stuff has much more to it than just zombies and horror. At the same time, I'm not going into a movie looking for undertones. I want something interesting and intriguing. Something that is going to keep my attention, yet give me the willies. Dawn of the Dead remake did it for me. I was entertained and even saw it twice in theaters and rented the DVD. I look at it and I'm like, that could really happen. Well, if zombies existed, that is.
Understandable. For me Romeros was way better because of the anti-consumer message as well as being a great horror film. For its day and age was very important and speaks volumes for whats going on in todays world as well. Not everybody can agree, just understand where we come from on things. The remake in these ways just doesnt hold a candle. It was a decent action movie at best.
And that's mainly why I liked it. The action part kept me intrigued. The Romero version just simply didn't keep my interest, despite the message. I'm a consumer, we're all consumers. Might as well accept the inevitable.
never could get into the TCM:thumbsdown:
The Lost Boys
Have a few friends that love The Blair Witch project.I never back down in trying to explain to them what an utter pile of shit that movie is.
not sure if a lot of ppl like this movie but.... Wasn't a big fan of 28 Weeks Later.
I thought the 1st one was far better.
Wasn't a fan of 28 Days Later either.
