The Heat - I found it quite funny.
Oh man.. Get on it! It's fucking GREAT!
Such a shame most of Chaney's films are lost. Fuck you MGM and you're fire. Cunts. Those responsible are all dead by now though, good. Fucking. Riddance. Shit eating cunts.
Anyway, the film is great, and Kino did an amazing job with the restoration. I came across the film while watching 'The Man of 1000 Faces' documentary on Chaney that came with my Phantom of the Opera bluray.

...from a time when Chow Yun Fat was the most badass action star on the planet.
Frozen - wifey wanted to give it a go...wasn't a bad flick...
Splash (1984) - haven't seen this in years.. love this shit. Not normally into romantic comedies, but this owns. Darryl Hannah has never looked more beautiful than in this movie. The ending reminds me of Cocoon (also directed by Ron Howard), where they f..k off from this world to live in some fantastic utopia. The perfect fantasy. Mannequin (1987) tried to rip this off but failed. 8/10 classic movie
Old boy (remake)
Riddick
I wasn't expecting much at all, I used to love Pitch Black when i was younger, but I've grown off it as I grew, I've seen Chronicles once, and don't remember it fondly. This, I actually really enjoyed, though it was have a lot of inconsistencies and odd questions.
One minute monsters are everywhere, then they all disappear. Riddick goes from not being able to walk due to injury, to kicking monster ass and running/climbing and jumping in mere seconds, I don't get it, but, whatever.
Some of the acting is very weak, but it isn't consistently bad to really bring the film down. Nice effects and plenty of awesome moments. It really caught me by surprise, I'll have to check out the extended cut, which is about 10 minutes longer.
Far from perfect, but I found it very cool and enjoyable.
7.5/10
I'm one of the few that actually likes Chronicles over Pitch Black, but not by a lot. Loved the political scheming and plotting that went on, and dug the story pretty good. As far a Riddick goes I liked it ok, but would have to put it at the bottom of the Riddick series... still an enjoyable flick though, and I liked the Johns angle they went with.
I can't seen the second film for so long. I don't remember much about it. I only saw it once when it first came out, I was pretty young. I'd likely have a different opinion of it were I to see it again.
There's Something About Mary
Hell Baby - funnier than I thought it would be.
Dazed and Confused ....never gets old:rocker:
Stan Lee's mutants monsters and marvels
Hell House - what the actual fuck was that?!

How I Live Now
Liked it. Probably not everyone's cup of tea *Ba dum tssshhh*...
solid acting, with a nice story. Stays character focused and driven, and doesn't try to do any more than it needs too in fairly well depicting chaos, survival, and harsh realities following a militaristic attack, and the inevitable changing of one's perspectives. It's worth a viewing.
