Old movie about a house/granary/zombies

hi, can somebody help me with this movie? i think it's from the 80's, all i can remember is a group of people arrive to a house and somewhere in the movie they state that something is hiding inside the granary, then the house owner (and his wife? can't remember) dissapear, then a sheriff comes to help just to get killed and brought back as a zombie, also at the start of the film there's a narrator wich looks vampiresque, says something about the film from a crypt and the entire intro is black and white with old creepy music maybe from the 50's but the entire the movie is in color. the other thing i remember about the movie is the name starts with "the". thanks everyone in advance. :hi:
