That blind old man was a breath of fresh air...
Ba dum tsssh!
I have never seen 'People Under the Stairs' so I can't compare. I thought this was a pretty good flick. The blind dudes background story was pretty intense. I just felt he would have been too old.... (don't want to spoil).
Good flick, enjoyed it quite a bit probably give an 7/10 rating overall too.
"Just because hes blind doesn't mean he's a saint" - Money (first victim) haha great flick!

Solid film.
It was good. I went in expecting some masterpiece since I heard it was one of the best horror films in years.
I just finished watching this. I really enjoyed it. I wouldn't say it was the best horror film in years though. I wouldn't even say it was a horror, but I really enjoyed the story and the acting was excellent.
Yeah it was definitely overhyped!

I liked it, great tension.
I liked it, until quarters of the way through with the whole "twist" which to me didnt work. ok it made for one heck of a shocking scene but i just didnt like why they felt the need to get us to sympathise with the girl.
Just saw this - and I wasn't impressed at all. :negative:
I think the main reason might be that I didn't find the old blind dude to be an effective "movie monster", you know. I am not even sure that works entirely as an explanation --- bottom line, I didn't get the sense of tension, panick or excitement from this film, that I have heard other people describe... In the end, I do not entirely know why - but it didn't do it to me. I want to give you the objective explanation why; but I might not have it...
:D
I also didn't care for it. As @The Mutilated said, no tension, no panic, and no excitement. I didn't give a shit if those robbers got whacked or not.
Hey, it's all good....appreciate the response.
