Looks like Romero's son Cameron is stepping up to the plate. I like this idea he has. Hope it works out.

A bold claim to make. Given it's just a prequel to NOTLD.Quote:
This is a project that will re-define the genre
28 Days Later re-defined the genre. This is just going to be more generic crap.
I doubt it'll be good. Only reason Cameron Romero is in the business is because of his father. He's pretty talentless otherwise, from what I've seen.
Seriously? An origin story for the epidemic of zombie creations is going to ruin the scare factor, it'll ruin the mystery of the zombies and what not...
...you know what they SHOULD be making instead? DIAMOND DEAD!
Crap
No hope for this at all. I am really surprised nobody has done a movie for Keene's Dead Sea. Hands down one of he best zombie books I have ever read with a pretty cool twist on the main character being openly gay :shedance: but an absolute badass! Even animals are zombies in this book, it is definitely unique and even explains what is causing people to come back from the dead unlike every other zombie flick out there. Some images from that book are incredible with highly memorable zombie encounters.
You have captured my interest Mac.
It is a great book that could translate into an outstanding movie. Some of the beginning of the book as Lamar (main character) is making his way through the city of Baltimore which is now crawling with zombies and people trying to flee is a horrific vision. :2thumbs:
The fact its resorted to an idiegogo campaign shows how far Romero has fallen. Movie will be shit like his last handful l.
Looks like it won't even make half of the intended $150,000 bucks. Hopefully, because I really don't want to see this get made. I know it's understandable to go in your fathers footsteps, but we all know it's going to be chalk full of CGI and be terrible. Come up with a new idea or revitalize a previous idea like your father did.
Doubters. :dislike:
Hey Fright, on Amazon the Dead See actually has a blurb of being made into a feature film. I follow Keene on Twitter and also a friend on his own personal Facebook account and he never mentioned it. Any info on how real that is?
