Looks exactly like the first... to a tee. I might still see these, or just wait to get a region 2 if it comes out there before theatres here.

Look's good, hopefully it turn's out to be just as solid if not better than the first film. I just don't really like how they have it saying The Descent Part 2 should say something else Imo!!.
Can't wait for this :rockin:
Reviews for it are bad, a lotta humor in this one, and the bleak atmosphere has been removed. Even sites that constantly overrate new movies have been hitting this with low scores.
The first was mediocre and this one looks far worse. Looks like the same song and dance, pass.
Premise IS complete shit I agree with Steelba. First thing is that the group didn't even hit the " planned" cave system. Second thing is that they went to a pretty isolated area, so there's only a remote chance someone will discover thier vehicles in time to even bother with some kind of a rescue operation. That's if anyone that came across them questioned the vehicles presence there. I figure it'd be months before they were discovered (if lucky) if not years; so searching for survivors would be futile.
I know you will correct me if I'm wrong but, weren't there several endings made for the first film? One involved one leaving, one involved the blonde and the asian(?) chick in the car, and a third one i can't remember.
The first isn't exactly in my favorites list, so I might be off cause I didn't care to remember. Half tempted to dig up my "unrated" dvd and rewatch it to be sure. Could have sworn it had endings not shown in theatres.
On another note... It is weird that cops aren't apparently leading the search and rescue in the trailers.
should have never made a sequel. first was a very solid flick, doubtful this film could re-capture the atmosphere and tension of the first.
Someone mentioned a lot of humor in this -that worries me a lot. Nothing gets me out of the horror mood faster ("Scream"-movies are the exception)
Nothing pisses me off more than a movie having a unnecessary sequel. The original ending was PERFECT for The Descent. But no, there had to be another ending that America has gotten which fucked up the whole point of The Descent. This movie to me, and I always felt like this with the movie, in it being just a cash-in. That's just me. I am trying not to think that way about the sequel, but I just have the strongest vibe of it just being a waste of time since the first one didn't need a sequel.
Original ending= The movie is ok as it is already and doesn't need a continuation.
Alternate ending= Fucked up the whole point of the movie and since a lot of us Americans always want a survivor in such stories like these, that means people will want a sequel (when it isn't necessary at all, not all movies need a fucking sequel).
I love the Decent. For me it was riveting just as a survival movie, i felt it almost a shame that it turned into a monster movie by the end. The Decent 2 trailer didn't grab me... But I'll definitely rent it in the hope it delivers.
I love the Descent, I know not many people are excited about this sequel but Im for sure..
Stupid for going back down there, but.. lol, the trailer looks pretty awesome.
We shall see if it holds up.
I don't trust trailers anymore =[
i dont liek, even think the liek first decent movie was any good so, i dont like no y there even makin a sequel.
Can't wait. Loved the first one. Looks promising.
