Movies you put off watching.

Are there any movies you put off watching for whatever reason. You may feel they are great or what have you but you don't pop them in the player all that often.

For myself it would have to be The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I love it and it is a brilliant movie but when the woman screams and screams and screams at the end it just drives me nuts. I just wish she copped the chainsaw and give me some peace. Probably why this movie is in my Halloween Month list, I want to see it so jumping in the deep end to do so...hopefully this time I may view the screaming differently :straightface:

One movie that I have put off watching...again, would be Eden Lake, a social commentary of some children (perhaps "Hoodies"/"Chavs"?) in UK society (IMO). Granted, it's an exaggerated commentary, but you get the picture. This is a hit or miss with some people, some people like it and some people don't. Obviously, I won't give away the movie since there might be some that haven't seen it. Anyway, even though I do like the movie, the characters (primarily the kids in the movie) just really pissed me off in the worst way. More so than I can say any other movie has ever done. Brutal and unrelenting. If I ever met these kids in real-life, my rage and fury would be unleashed and I'm petrified of that concept. The ending of the movie made me want to tear shit up!

I also have movies that I know are god but haven't watched simply because I feel I need the right time for them, whatever that means. An example would be Philosophy of a Knife, I need to see this movie straight through and at four hours not something I can just chuck in the player.

The other that comes straight to mind is Seeking Wellness , a movie that was on Film Bizarro's top ten list of last year. This film just has this feel of needing the right mental state to really gain something from the viewing.

C.H.U.D. - too many connections to my ex

Torture Horror. I just find the stories really don't hit the mark and really unappealing.

I loved III as well. Wish they stuck with the idea of different Halloween themes for each movie, would have been cool.

I tried watching CHUD, but it didn't hold up well. Still was ok though.

There's quite a few, but Suspiria is probably at the top of my list. I've owned it for more than a couple years now, and I still haven't gotten my lazy ass to watch it yet. I'm going to save it for a potential movie night and double it up with Black Swan, because it sounds like those will fit pretty well together.

Yeah it's a pretty grim film. U just wanna smash a few heads together watching this!

The Thing, The Fly, Re-animator, just to name a few. I'm sure I'll get around to it someday, but the massive hype these movies get is really off-putting.

Mirrors with Kiefer Sutherland. Had to leave the theater it was so bad.

The Big Lebowski.

I know it is probally fantastic but I just can't at the moment. :whew:
