Well as if this was a surprise, there is "supposed" to a be a sequel to this movie that is set to start production in early 2009, to damn soon if you ask me.

I'm up for a sequel.. I don't think Liv Tyler should return though.
I want a sequel too. I saw The Strangers last week and i thought it was very suspenseful and overall i liked the film very much. I would like to see Liv Tyler return though, even if she has a cameo.
*SPOILERS, KINDA*
The sequel should begin with the boys freaking out and taking off, and Liv Tyler crawling on the floor trying to seek help (the scene we didn't see).
I'm up for it since I really dug the first one.
saw the first last night, very terrifying. So real.
I dont know if I want to see another, I do, but i dont. Liv should not return, maybe dying in the hospital. The sequel should follow the NEXT night, much like Halloween 2 was to Halloween 1.
I do not want to see their faces either. Hopefully it wont be a SAW series
first was suspensful enough although I think some people made some dumb decisions
Highlight Spoiler I do think the strangers shouldn't win this time though, the second one doesn't need to be a repeat of part one. That would be pointless. They somehow need to make it different
Sounds good to me.
If it will get a sequel, I really hope it won't be a to get money, because The Strangers was actually good unlike all other trash that spawns more films, like Saw.
And Liv Tyler is great.
good shittt
I thought the first movie was good hopefully the sequel will pick up right where the 1st one left off.
if anything there going to milk this fucking film for all its worth,
im kinda getting tired with always seeing this evil triumphing over good.
if anything the one thing the sequel needs to keep is the
IDENTITY OF THE KILLERS!
thats what made the first one so good.
I loved the flick but the thought of a sequel really doesn't do anything for me.
Why make a sequel????? Why can't the end be left up to your imagination? Sequels usually take the magic out out the first films and make the nemesis less scary. (There are a few exceptions to this). I would like to see some original horror movies, no more remakes or hack versions of Asian or French films, i have read enough horror novels to know that there is still a lot of imagination and originality in the horror genre to create some incredible films.
Stop being psyched on sequels and remakes, stuffs fo retards. Ask for innovation and evolution of horror, not more hacky smut.
I loved the first one, and I would welcome a sequel, but it needs to live up to the first movie. I am in love with the idea of not ever seeing the killer's face. That's what is the most scary element of the movie for me, not knowing (or seeing) who and the 'why me?' aspect.
Make it like Halloween 2 like someone mentioned above. Great idea.
Haven't seen the first.
