If Keaton reprises his role, and Burton directs, it should be pretty good. I'm a big fan of the original, hoping they don't screw this one up.

Beetlejuice 2 is happening, so it's best that we all simply make peace with it. Tim Burton is coming back and Michael Keaton will be reprising his role as the Ghost With The Most, and we should all just try to find the positive. And hey, here's a positive: Winona Ryder is coming back for the sequel! We all love Winona, and she doesn't seem to work enough, so it'll be nice to see her again. Talking to The Daily Beast, Rider reveals she's very excited to return, and is eager to let us understand it's a true sequel.
"It's not a remake," Ryder told the site. "It's 27 years later. And I have to say, I love Lydia so much. She was such a huge part of me. I would be really interested in what she is doing 27 years later."
According to The Guardian goths never grow out of it, so it's plausible that Lydia could be in her 40s and still be dressed in all black!
If you're worried that Ryder would have joined Beetlejuice 2 no matter what, she lays that concern to rest: "I would never go near [a sequel] if it was not Tim and Michael," she said. "Because those guys, I love." So at the very least she's coming back from a place of real hope. Can we do any less?

I dont mind this
Put it this way I remember it very clearly when I saw Beetlejuice in the theater, open weekend...on Easter Sunday.
Cool that it's finally happening. Beetlejuice is a classic, for sure. And who doesn't love Winona Ryder?
The original was fun.
Not getting my hopes up about a sequel though.
I don't care if literally everything returns from the original.
They will inevitably throw in some current age hipsters to secure the newer demographics whom might otherwise not know a thing about the original.
And usually, the new age hipsters ruin it, by hogging up all the screen time, while anyone whose a fan of the original will probably get their favorite characters in there for less time or not have a big enough role to care.
Well the original was a satire of the 80s so this will probably include modern references as well.
I want sandworms too.
So long as the make Beetlejuice the villain like in the movie (and not in the cartoon show). If they don't, then it would be really stupid.
I really want to get my hopes for this...I do
Winona Ryder has come out again about the movie, this time confirming both she and Keaton are returning.
