Richard Pryor Here and Now
Dirty Love written by and starring Jenny McCarthy!
Had some flaws and slow parts and such, but there were too many great scenes to not like it.
Love the fish-in-the-ass "Touch my bass!" scene, along with the grocery store period scene, and gotta love it when she whipped out her tits and went crazy.
Watched Speed last night. Excellent film.
wedding crashers-funny in parts, but not as good as it was made out to be.
Xmen 2. One of the best comic book adaptations out there.
One of the Best? THE BEST!!!!Quote:

wanderers...classic old school gang movie best rumble @ the end
wedding crashers - boring
Fantastic Four- one of the worst comic book movies. Only difference between this and the Corman produced version is 120 million dollars.
Where's the action, where's the plot? 20 minutes in they get their powers, bitch and moan at each other for 40 minutes, then have an anticlimatic fight with Victor Von Doom, who holds a doctorate in DOOM!
King Kong '05- Great film, and I wasn't expecting too enjpy it as much as I did, but this is one of the greatest pure escapist films I've seen, best movie of '05 IMO.
wing commander - freddie prinze jr and mathew lilliard
= crap
Watched Man of the house. Film was not that great.
This is what pisses me off. People that know absolutely nothing about Fantastic four go in expecting an all out action movie and call the movie crap when they don't get it, yet that was never what the fantastic four comics were about.Quote:

They did the Thing perfectly not wanting to be the Thing at all, and everything and they did all the other characters perfectly as well.
The fantastic four movie was never going to be an all out action packed comic book movie like X-men, Punisher, Spider-man, etc.
It is easily one of the best adapted comic book movies out there and yet people piss on it because a few non problem changes to doom and the fact they didn't get all the action fix they wanted.
I saw this in theaters. I thought it be funnier than it was, but it was decent. I didn't mind looking at Christina Milian for a few hours either.Quote:

Connecting and interesting characters with the action fix I was expecting. Very fun and enjoyable Flick.
What About Bob?
FF sucked, crappy music, poorly edited and acted and directed. Worst movie of 05.Quote:

And what about Ben's wife, the most vain woman in the world. They build her up to be a great woman, but she refuses to go near her husband who just saved fire engine full of guys, because of how he looks, then they never settle this conflict.
It was a flawed dopey movie, no better than the '94 version made on the cheap only to make Fox pay out the ass for the Rights.
Both X-men and spiderman films and Batman Begins (IMO) are filled with great character development and exciting action sequences. Some get it right: Batman some get it wrong: Daredevil, Fantastic Four.
The thing is though The FF comics barely if contain action sequences. Most of the time they stay in the baxtor building talking about how to logically defeat so and so without fighting. Most of the time is spent on characters.
Look at their villians Puppetmaster(stays and plays from afar), Galacticus(Big guy, they try to stop with powers for a short time, but when that fails they use conversation with the silver surfer and Galacticus to make him go away. Even the super skrulls they fight for a short period of time and yet usually end up debating in conversation until they have come to a fair way to settle the disbute without violence.
I mean look at how they defeated Namor recently in the comics. All that happened was Sue Storm gave him a Kiss and he went back underwater and left them alone.
and with your views on the movie its clear you never read the comics, cause you expect something completely different than what the whole point of fantastic four is about.
The Thing has always been about wanting to look normal, become human, which based off the comics was played perfectly in the movie. Ben's girlfriend turns on him in the comics too and the Black girl becomes his girlfriend(The black girl is also the daughter of the puppetmaster).
Sue and Read was always about personal issues in relationships, which they played well off each other in the movie. You say their was no character development but going from developing them from comics to screen the development of the characters was exactly like the Fantastic Four comics.
Of course their not always going to get along, but they work together when they need to and thats the whole point behind the Fantastic Four series.
Fantastic Four was never about Action, ever. So bitching about their being a complete lack of it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. You went into the movie expecting a little character development and a lot of action and when you didn't get it you trash it for not being what you wanted when you wanted something it was not intended to be.
If you want action in superhero movies go for X-men, Spider-man, Batman not the Fantastic Four.
did you read my post I said there was zero characterization in the film. And film and comics are different medium. The lead four were more 2-D than Kirby's original drawings! I said films like spider-man and x-men managed to have exciting action sequence and strong characterizations!
I did read your post and I know what you said. If you would have read mine you see where I pointed out the characterization that u seem to have missed.
