I Love You Man.
Wind River (2017) -
Good flick set at a beautiful location. Recommended.
The Transporter Refueled
Breathing Fire (1992), on B-Movie TV. Straight-to-video kickboxing flick starring Jerry "Golden Boy" Trimble, Jonathan "No time for love, Dr. Jones!" Ke Quan, and Bolo "10x Mr. Hong Kong and Van Damme's favorite lead villain" Yeung. Used to love this flick back in the day but haven't seen it in many years. Unlike most American-made kickboxing flicks of the time which featured mostly just repetitive punches and straight kicks, the action in this one is much more in tune with late '80s Hong Kong action cinema, particularly the kind of flicks you'd see starring Yuen Biao, Sammo Hung, Moon Lee or Yukari Oshima, as it features the same kind of bone-crunching-yet-balletic fight sequences, melodrama and silly slapstick humor, but on an even smaller budget. Ke Quan must have spent the years between Temple of Doom and this movie studying martial arts for real, as he exhibits some pretty sweet moves throughout, and is clearly doing his own stunts. Beware of the bad acting from the supporting cast, though.
Incidentally, if you have a Roku, you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't have B-Movie TV (or Shockwerks TV, for that matter) on your channel list. Just sayin'.
Super Dark Times
The Prestige -
12 yrs. later i'm finally seeing this. Good flick for sure, but I actually dug The Illusionist a lot more.
Moon (2009) -
Classic, thought provoking, character driven Sci-Fi that focuses heavily on the human condition. Rockwell knocked it outta the park. Highly recommended. :2thumbs:

The Fugitive. Tommy Lee absolutely in the fucking zone in this one!
Amazing film, no real flaws at all.
Word. There's no graphic violence, no sex, no nudity, but IMO it's about as crackerjack a thriller as it gets. Just ridiculously watchful from beginning to end. I've lost count of how many times I've seen it but it never fails to draw me right in. Speaking of movies I never get tired of watching...
The Kid With the Golden Arm (1979). I saw a lot of chop socky flicks as a kid courtesy of Saturday morning Black Belt Theater, but this was the first one that really struck me, mostly due to the colorful villains (with names like Iron Coat, Silver Spear and Brass Head) and an outstanding lead performance from Kuo Chui as a feudal government agent out to bust the Golden Arm gang. His schtick: He fights better when he's soused, so naturally he spends a good deal of his screen time chugging down barrels of wine. Kuo is missing a couple fingers on one hand as a result of an accident while working at a lumber mill between roles early in his career; he became very good at hiding his disfigurement on camera, but there are a number of shots in this film of Kuo's character tilting back on wine barrels where the missing digits are, heh, unmissable. At any rate, this is just one of many films to star The Venom Mob (a group of performers who acted together in a number of classic Chang Cheh kung fu thrillers, the most famous being Five Deadly Venoms, after which the group was named) and also happens to be one of their best. If you like classic chop socky flicks, you'll dig this one.
To The Bone
TMNT 1990 Movie. :D
^^^ Love the nunchuck duel in that flick. Personally, I'd give it to the Foot guy.
