Book of Life
...this was a bigger snub from the Oscars than the Lego Movie. This was fantastic. In just two films, Reel FX in Dallas has catapulted themselves beyond both Dreamworks and Blue Sky. This was a better film than several in Pixar's filmography, easily.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier
...pretty disappointing. Story was silly, full of cliches and mostly yet another film to exploit the destruction toolbox they have to play with at ILM. Despite what a chore it was to slog through (though not near as bad as something like Transformers), not to mention my general dislike of goody-goody heroes, Cap remains my favorite Avenger and favorite character in the current Marvel Universe.
