Wow, the New York Ripper is a brilliant giallo..
I actually like New York Ripper, although it is very much a sleaze flick.
What did you like about it, may I ask?
Interesting killer, Good story, the kills were amazing (the razor blade kill was brutal as fuck).. overall a very good film. Whoever said Fulci was a hack, I throw a rock at your head :stone:
Thanks to Giallo's, I imagine every person I see with black leather gloves to be a killer :mhehe:
can u buy these movies at best buys and what not??
I actually really liked "Mother of Tears." It had some hokey stupid stuff, but I love Asia Argento, and I love that she played a horror movie character smart enough to remove her high heels before trying to run away from a killer. I think people built up too many expectations for the movie and they were let down. I was engaged by the story and I really enjoyed myself. It's not anything groundbreaking or anything, but it was good. I put it right up there with Michele Soavi's "The Church" as far as quality goes.
Only giallo I've found in the stores in my area is Tenebrae and they wanted $ 30 for a used copy. So I have been getting all my giallo online. Usually deepdiscount.com. So far the hardest giallo ( at least for me) has been some of Sergio Martinos films
speakin of...i watched Torso the other night..pretty good:thumbup:
bay of blood is at 60 % prolly watch that after i get some shut eye :D
You'll like that alot
Im kind of torn between Tenebre and Suspiria after watching both of these movies both of them have gotten me into giallos alot more:bigthumbup:
Suspiria is a supernatural flick, not a Giallo. But it the killings in it are giallo style, and the movie is greatness :smokin:
It's strange to hear that Giallo's are hard to find in stores, we have a fair few Giallo's/Italian horror movies being sold around here..
