Still refusing to watch this, Murray or not
Not to be a dick, but I find it kinda ridiculous that he's willing to play a part in this now, but when Ramis was alive, it was all dodge dodge dodge.
I'll be a realist though, im not saying GB3 would be good even if they decided to go straight up sequel, but this just feels wrong.
Either way, I won't be wasting my time with it.
Only flicks I refuse to watch in genres I usually watch everything are anything by RZ, indie flicks where they think a mask and overuse of blood effects = a good movie, and movies that try and trick me into thinking they are slashers like Halloween.
As for Murray this is what has he done lately? He isn't a box office draw and his most current works are terrible. For him this is a quick and easy paycheck that may net him a larger role in the near future. I believe this is why the sudden change of heart. There is no denying regardless of how much negativity is shown here this movie will be a huge success.

I might be the only one on the planet (or so it seems) that is giving this the benefit of the doubt and think it will end up being good. Feig didn't disappoint with Spy and it ended it being much better than anyone gave it credit for with previews, I have faith :2thumbs:
A sick depraved fascination will probably get me in the theater to see this one

Enough teasing, show me a trailer!
I have said and still say this will end up being not a bad movie. However Mattel has released its toy line for the film and revealed what the main baddie will look like.
His name is Rowan and he will summon up the Traveler like in the original when the Stay Pufft Marshmallow Man wreaked havok on NYC.
This time the Traveler is just a big version of the ghost in the Ghostbusters logo and looks absolutely AWFUL!

Who Rowan actually might be is still debatable:
Looks familiar, doesn’t he? He closely resembles the Ghostbusters logo — the one from the 1984 movie that Sony is also using to promote the new film. Rowan’s got more of a resemblance to the logo than Slimer or any of the other ghosts Venkman and co. encountered. Just add two rows of sharp teeth and a red bow tie, and voila, you’ve got Rowan. (A Mattel rep revealed the villain’s name in the video you can see below.) So does this mean in this Ghostbusters, the new team created a logo after encountering this baddie? Or is this another Stay Puft situation, where they manage to manifest their own monster from the logo on their minds?

Not to be a pessimist but I want this movie to sink.
All of these crappy movies being released are putting a stain on my childhood.

Even after watching that trailer I can tell that this whole lineup is miscast. None of the jokes in there were funny or original and although I love Kristin Wiig, it looks like even she can't bring anything to this role. The CGI looked better in the original rather than cartoony in the new one. Just has face palm written all over it.
I was saving my judgment of the film until the trailer. Now having seen the trailer I can finally say that this looks bad. Didn't find the trailer funny at all, and like DM said, it seems miscast. I do like the bright colors of the ghosts, but that's about it. This is clearly aimed at a young new audience as opposed to fans of the original. :negative:

Why didn't they use this chick? She was funny, she would have made a good ghostbuster.
