At the moment I have very little hope for the film, but I'll save most of my criticism for when I see the trailer
I do like the idea but the cast has given me very little hope. I was wishing for Bullock and Aniston together at the very least.
I can already picture Melissa McCarthy screaming and tripping over things :myhead:
I'm not really familiar with Kate McKinnon or Leslie Jones, but I read they're from SNL (which I don't watch), so I can't really comment on them joining the cast.
I am already boycotting this due to McCarthy. I am convinced the woman can do nothing besides be the "funny" fat person in a film. I'll watch the trailer, but that's probably it. I would honestly watch R.I.P.D over this bs
I like McCarthy and the chick from Bridesmaids. At least that looks like her, the other two I have no idea. Not saying this will do well but I'm always up for an all ladies cast. Girl power!
I'll save it for Blu-ray, but I'm not going to the theater to watch this.
It's going to be the same shit. Overly CGI'd "ghosts" and horrendous comic relief. McCarthy will be the fat and funny one and Kristen Wiig will be the more down to Earth clever one. And the black one will be Ernie Hudson. I am really against this remake, but I don't want to sound completely against it. If I watch the trailer and it turns out to have great reviews then I will probably see it. Going in blind, however, will result in me being salty as soon as I walk into the theater.
I will def end up watching this one...not going to go out of my way to watch it but I know I will at some point....I mean it really is a bizzare idea :stare:
I don't expect it to be a good movie, but I do think it'll be entertaining. I'm not sick of McCarthy yet and I like the rest of the gals (from what I've seen on SNL anyway).
Awaits trailer. :stare:
It wouldn't be possible to have less interest in this movie than I have after seeing the cast. They figured out how to make it less appealing than the original announcement that it was happening in the first place.
All bishes in the lead roles? WTF were they thinking?
I'll skip this one.
I'm down with this.
It's different to say the least and since Bill Murray failed all of us before Harold Ramis died, I think a woman's touch to the paranormal as long as it's funny, scary and not a dime a dozen comedy that H-wood shills around for easy dollars.
I'll hold judgement until I see a trailer.
Did you see the cast? It's going to write itself because at least two of the four that I recognize only have one schtick. I'd maybe see this before some abomination with Dan Akroyd playing multiple roles, since he is more or less the male equivalent to the talent on display here. But, yeah, sure, I guess none of us really know what a shit sandwich really tastes like until taking a big old bite for ourselves.
I'm okay with a new and different movie that yeah I agree probably shouldn't be called Ghostbusters, but even so it's good to have female protagonists in an American film industry that lacks so much of it. It may seem weird to accept at first, but I'm willing to see what a female Ghostbusters team can do. It might turn out pretty funny, but again we'll have to wait and see.
I have no room in my movie patronage for affirmative action.
I agree with this right here.....I am pretty sure they do this to draw that crowd that saw it back in the day....if it was called "Ghost Tamers" or some shit no one in that generation and even this one would give two shits...I agree Bill M gave us the stiff one by not wanting to do a sequel when Ramis was still alive.
