Well I'd have to say the trailer wasn't very funny, which is a concern. Regardless, I'll give this a try and watch it when it comes out.
Same for me pretty much. I don't get all the hate and will give it a chance.
Anyone thinking this will not do well is more than likely hoping it won't do well as I think this will bring in a ton of cash.
When the dust settles this will certainly make enough money to have the sequel already planned in two years or so.
My take is it won't be better than the original but it will be better than Ghostbusters 2 :whew:
Ghostbusters 2 is horrendous.
Looks exactly like I thought it would...meh. I'll still watch it, but I'm sure it will be underwhelming. :shrugs:
I like the visuals... but it feels corny.
Yes I do. But I actually like the colors for this.. it's surreal. But it's just dumb on so many other levels. Will I still see it.. yes. Will I like it... who knows.
...and you can make that conclusion about making sense from a 2 minute trailer. That film is the first thing I thought of when I seen this trailer regarding how it looks.
Wow, I never thought anyone hated Ghostbusters 2. I know it isn't as good as the original, but horrendous? Not sure about all that.
This new Ghostbusters is painfully unfunny. Anyone can hate on Ghostbusters 2 all they want, but the dialogue was great. This new GB movie is pure slapstick and, so far, the dialogue is very familiar to other slapstick movies of current times. "Yeah that's hot", or "It got into every..crack". It seems to me they need to go into detail on every joke because the jokes are boring to begin with. I presume this entire script will go nowhere and every joke will be drawn out as much as it can. The black lady screaming at Melissa Mcarthy in the trailer? Not funny initially and then screams at her again which makes it cringe worthy.
The job of a trailer is to showcase a film and why you should see it. If the initial trailer sucks then why the hell would I support this in any way? I'm convinced the only people that are going to see this are going because of the title alone. The characters are terrible, even if I love Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon, the dialogue is awful and the CGI is horrible looking! I will probably check out R.I.P.D over this.
Straight to torrent for me.

I didn't even like it when I seen it in the theatre when I was a kid (ripe old age of 14 I believe).
You mean B&R? I didn't go see it. I was into Star Wars that year plus I wasn't going to see many big budget hollywood films because even back then I thought they had just became empty cgi-fests (much different from when I was a kid). I was a massive fan of Batman Forever, though.
Congratulations Count, youve won ultimate hipster, you can stop trying so hard now.
Yeah I saw that as a kid too. Is a great memory. Then going into the foyer and seeing a poster for the 1990 TMNT movie. :confident:
