At first I thought :nervouswreck: but it's from the director of Honeymoon, which was an alright movie. Probably will suck though.

The original is a bit of a guilty pleasure movie for me. This remake idea is a waste :dislike:
Won't be anywhere near as fun as the original movie was.

Like others say, the original is a guilty pleasure... this won't be fun.
I had my friend's parent lie to get us into Sudden Death (Van Damme movie released in 1995). You had to be 15 to see that one.
I had to sneak into Adam's Family Values becayse it was PG13.
Never seen it..
Why can't they leave this alone!?
...
I just couldn't ever fully get into this one. While I'm not saying a remake will improve it but it probably won't hurt.
It's actually a better movie than most give it credit.
Well with the news that this movie will receive a sequel/reboot. Some have brought some controversy for discussion sake into it. Obviously the Craft/Ghostbusters aren't in the same universe, but I guess since its a sequel/reboot 20 years after the fact. Does that mean they replace the predominantly female leads with male witches/warlocks for political correctness? If we're in the age of role reversal? In this case, while I wouldn't mind bringing back the 4 girls from the original. I just don't see the point? Plus Ghostbusters was a fuckin money machine as Christopher Moltisanti pointed out. The Craft was more of a cult film. With Ghostbusters, its clearly about being a cash grab. Why bother with the Craft, unless you wanna reverse the genders? Whose gonna care about those 4 girls from the original, outside of the fans of that movie? It's definitely not going to be the same kind of cash crab.

I can't see it having an all male cast, but I can see the studio thinking it can maybe bring in some $$ by filling it some familiar young female faces. Essentially just updating the old storyline with today's modern age/technology, which seems to be what they're aiming to do anyway.
