There's barely any CGI in the movie. And of that, maybe one shot looked bad.

Koolmike, the heroic defender of the status quo. :cmurdur:
Those movies get a lot of critical acclaim but that doesn't mean they're the best.
I disagree but you're entitled to your opinion. :D
Well really, these types of films you can go two ways. Either the madness possesses and consumes her, like Jack Nicholson in The Shining. Or you can have redemption. I guess they were going for a...
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But if you want to be a professional critic, you need to give valid reasons.
I happen to like slow burn flicks so long as they don't have boring, pointless scenes. On the other hand, I can't stand watching movies that you need ADD to appreciate.

:whew:
It probably helps to not expect a slasher/gorefest, but a psychological thriller. :whew:
Hahaha, that's a good one. :dance4:
Now I remember why I put you on ignore. :stare2:

The babadook is actually a real creature that feeds off negative emotions. :scared::hide::hiding:
She defeated the babadook, but remember that she continues to feed it, locked up in the basement. IE: Remember "you can't get rid of the babadook".... she will always have that dark side of her.
I loved the ending, actually. Thought it made a lot of sense.
EDIT: And the CGI didn't bother me, either.
Watching it for the second time, it's not entirely original, but is...
Awesome psychological horror flick. :2thumbs:
Dude who played the the co-worker was also in Snowtown, another great Aussie horror flick.
It got leaked somehow.
Imma watch this tonight. :2thumbs:
I was going to see this tonight but there was a problem with the projector so they didn't show it. :sigh:
This and Zero Theorem I wanted to watch, but been too busy and too broke.
They actually did a Q and A with the director there yesterday. I wish I didn't miss that. :dsp:
