i think it is a movie, but not 100% sure. it may have been from a show.

I also think the girl has some kind of necklace or something that falls to the bottom of the pool/water and when she goes down to get it she is attacked.

If this movie is real, it seems like it has to be Bad Dreams. On IMDB, one of the keywords for the movie is hit-by-car, and the main character has dreams about a guy that resembles Freddy Kreuger....

I think he has good ideas but i dont think he's that great of a director. IMO he is a much better writer than director.
