Agreed on all points. The pool scene would have been great if it was an 80's flick, but didn't fit with the rest of the movie. That's probably why it bothers me so much.

Anyway, uh, I actually liked It Follows. Wasn't the most innovative and it did have some pacing issues, but I thought it was decent enough. I loved the soundtrack and the fact that it was different....

He probably heard the soundtrack and it reminded him of Halloween, so now the entire movie is a rip off of Halloween.
Why should the acting be believable when a sexually transmitted shape shifter walks after you? At least Babadook was somewhat realistic with a poltergeist. This had naked men on top of houses.
It's a horror film that starred nobodies, who cares about the acting?
Girlfriend and I enjoyed the hell out of it. It wasn't scary, but I thought it was executed well. The acting was iffy, but it starred nobodies, so I don't really care. Otherwise, I thought the ending...
