It's hard not to see it as a gimmick. Her dad wrote the script, it's her dads film. I know she said she helped with it, but it's still her dad's film. Then she makes a kickstarter saying it's her...

It sounds fishy to me. I don't like the fact that the dad is using the 13 year old to try and sell his film.
