Apparently, the Ash character will not appear in the remake.
Yeah, Romero sure has lost it. I liked Land of the Dead but the last two... no thank you.
Strigoi
I enjoyed it. My kind of vampire movie.
No, something came up. I'll finish it soon though.
That was my first Michael Moriarty movie. :2thumbs:
Last I heard, this remake was dead in the water, which is what Barker wants, I think.
good point
Looks over produced.
Agreed. Movie was pretty bare, lacked some blocking it seemed. Definitely overrated.
It's like Nightmare on Elm Street 3.5. And,yeah, the locker room scene was surprising. :elstare:
I prefer C.J. Graham over Kane Hodder. Not a fan of Hodder.
This one shows up on a lot of top 90's lists. Don't know why though. Pretty dull except for the asshole orderlies.

I won't see it again, but it is worth one watch. Not awful.
Good list, but no Jason Miller (Karras) from Exorcist, who is one of my favorites.
Sea creatures and swamp monsters.

This.
The Dead
Ash slapping Linda around is over the top and funny, though disturbing still.
I disagree. I think the essence of Evil Dead is terror, not comedy or Ash. Raimi took the series in a ridiculous direction, but the original film is horror, not horror comedy. And considering just...
Well, I didn't finish it, but my two biggest complaints are the lighting and missing sound effects. Sawbones bang gag could have used a sound, would have been quite startling. Francis pistol whips...
