I just discovered an Italian and British co-production from 1977 called "The Chosen." It is about a nuclear power plant being built on Hallowed Ground in the Middle East, troubling the locals and a lot of other people about violating and invading the Holy Land. As the construction continues, more signs of the Apocalypse and the coming of the Antichrist begin to appear, and everybody who speaks out and/or tries to take action against that nuclear power plant suddenly keep getting killed off in very bizarre out of the ordinary ways that almost never happen in those ways. They even discover a cave below those grounds where somebody had carved Jesus' name on the stone wall. When they try taking pictures inside of that cave, it begins to shake and crumble with their lights suddenly going out. The owner and CEO of the upcoming plant then has nightmares of the Apocalypse and the rise of the Antichrist happening in that plant, and they seem so real to him, he is unable to forget them after he wakes up. More links to the prophecy of the Apocalypse begin to appear, and it eventually looks like his upcoming baby who is still not born yet might actually be the Antichrist himself. This one has a lot of great mixings of reality and the prophecy that could even make Atheists stop and think about the Apocalypse and wonder if it is real or myth. The nightmare scenes are very artsy and intense, and the death scenes are a bit different from what you might see in most other horror films. There are also plenty of good twists and turns, including one on who the Antichrist actually turns out to be. This might not technically be giallo horror, but it is similar to some of them, and it is overall well done and definitely keeping interest all the way through. It should appeal to those into the giallo era and the like.

"Aquaslash" is a comedy horror film about a graduating class having their Graduation Party at the big water slides nearby. It is meant to be stupid but funny, and it is funny and entertaining in that sort of way as it parodies a lot of the comedy horror films from the 1980s. It does get less funny and more gory and intense when somebody installs extremely sharp razor blades into the slides, which could happen if the killer knows what they are doing. It gets very intense and gory after that part. It is still both comedy and horror and is overall well done as it keeps interest all the way through. This should appeal to those into the parody spoofs on the 1980s horror films and maybe even to those are into the actual 1980s horror films.

I finally got to see "The Mean One," which is the horror version of the Grinch! It is a comedy horror, and it is funny and entertaining, also with some very intense kill scenes. There is also plenty of good drama, dialogue, and well developed characters. There are also a good amount of twists and turns as the plot keeps thickening throughout this film. There is even another nice big touching twist near the end that could make the audience look at the Grinch himself from a different and more positive or understandable point of view. There are even scenes with bad karma getting those who have it coming to them. This also very artsy with great picture and sound quality, along with good visual effects and music score. This should appeal to those into "A Christmas Horror Story" with William Shatner and "Krampus"(2015), and maybe even to those into the other versions of Krampus and the non-horror versions of The Grinch.

"Christmassacre" is a comedy horror that is meant to be stupid but funny, and it is funny and entertaining in an over the top sort of way. It starts off with two girls walking home after getting kicked out of a bar with one asking why they left so early and the other saying she's the one who got them kicked out, and trying to do the bouncer before throwing up on him did not help. The one who got them kicked out then said she thinks he is just not blondes, and the other says sarcastically, "Yes. Let's go with that," also to end that topic. When they reach the drink blonde's house, the other has to stop holding her steady in order to get the keys out and unlock the door while the blonde falls back down the porch steps. After the other finally gets home and takes a shower, she finds a Christmas present on her bed, labeled from her secret Santa. She opens it to find a power drill, finding that a bizarre Christmas present, then to have the killer appear behind her, plugging in the power drill, and killing her with it. This one has plenty of good humorous dialogue to keep it entertaining with the kill scenes being very graphic, gory, and intense as it keeps interest all the way through. This is like another parody on the 1980s comedy horror slasher films, and it should appeal to those into that sort of parody, and maybe to those into the 1980s style slasher films.

Hereditary.

Saw this on amazon prime. This film was pretty solid, many tense moments with ominous music, but not so many outright scares perhaps. The ending was interesting. Anyway, I feel this was a solid film tho with some obvious flaws, and while it kept my interest throughout; I will probably never see this one again. Still, I had a decent time.

"The Curse Of Humpty Dumpty" is a British psychological thriller based on an ancient British myth that the nursery rhyme is believed to be based on about Humpty Dumpty supposedly being a demon god that the fictitious egg man was supposedly loosely based on. It is actually very interesting and intense if you can pay close attention to it all the way through, but those who can not pay close attention will be lost on what's happening in there. It is also very artsy and slow paced. It is not for today's mainstream, but still a good one for those into the older school done right and artsy psychological thrillers. It also has its shares on twists , turns, and eye opening scenes to help it keep interest all the way through. The drama and dialogue is also overall well done with overall well developed characters. The story is basically like this: Liz believes her aging mother Wendy is suffering from dementia. Liz and her sister Hazel take Wendy back to the old family home where she has not lived for years in the hope that this will help her. There Wendy begins to have memories that open up the secrets of the past. At the same time, the doll known as Humpty Dumpty, which may have been involved with devil worship ceremonies, come to life and starts killing people. I personally enjoyed this one, but would only recommend it to those who are into that sort of thing, but not for anyone who is more today's mainstream or anything like that.

"The Cult Of Humpty Dumpty" is a sequel to "The Curse of Humpty Dumpty," following the ancient British myth about the fictitious egg man being based on a demon god, only with a group of boarding high school girls being recruited to an outdoor camp that turns out to be run by a small group who worships the demon god, wanting to offer them as sacrifices for him. Like the first movie, this is also more of a psychological thriller, but with more humorous dialogue. It also has more backstory to the demon god Humpty Dumpty is supposed to be based on in these films. This is not for everybody, but it should appeal to those who like the first move, along with those into artsy psychological thrillers.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) going back through the series. This one didn't hold up as well as the others. It's not bad, just not as good as I remember.

I bought a BluRay of this, having only heard about it. Its one of the new wave French extremes, so I was expecting a blood bath - and I must say, it was pretty juicy!
...the twist at the end however, was not really to my liking and doesnt actually entirely make sense. However, this was a decent watch.
