Here Alone (2016) -
Interesting epidemic/zombie flick. It's short on epi-action though, focusing mainly on the survivalist aspects of the post apocalyptic world - with flashback/catch up scenes sprinkled throughout. A chick surviving on her own in upstate N.Y. meets dude and chickette... the post apocalyptic group dynamic has formed etc, etc.... I think we all know how that scenario will play out.
It may not offer anything new to the genre, but as a whole I dug it. In all actuality it's probably a bit closer to the hang-ups and harsh realities one would face in an actual apoc world as opposed to and devoid of the hollywood glam kind they like to throw at us.
If you ride on this kind of slow burn, post apoc, survivalist wave then suffice to say it's geared more for your type of crowd. If you're looking for the traditional, mainstream, mindless zombie action fest you'll probably want to pass on this one.
