Ex-freaking-actly.
And just to clarify for anyone who did not understand the first video i provided... the Dead or Alive ending. This one:
.... imagine that you're watching Goodfella's or better yet, Heat (Al Pacino, Robert De Niro) and the movie is exactly the same as it stands. The heist, the realism, the gangster vs cop, etc. Imagine this except for a Japanese, Yakuza version of the gangsters. So its a typical drama, thriller, action gangster flick......
But imagine at the end of the Heat when De Niro and Pacino are at the airport landing strip and having their final shoot out, imagine if instead of the way it played out the movie all the sudden for the final two minutes it takes a weird left turn that you had no reason to think would ever happen and the final two minutes of the video is the video above. your reaction, assuming it would be similar to mine, would be having your hands on your head, laughing and screaming "WHAT?!?!? WHAT?!?!? WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED?!?! WHAT AM I WATCHING?!?!"
And that is Takashi Miike in a nutshell, that is how you will react to 75% of his movies.
