Chopping Mall- 7/10. Got to love 80s cheese.

Bad Ben- 3/10. I knew it probably wasn't going to be good, but kind of wanted to watch something mindless since I was getting a bit tired, but wanted to watch something. But yeah, it wasn't very good. Only reason I gave it a 3 and not lower is because the guy was funny at times, whether or not it was intentional.

Bad Ben- 3/10. I knew it probably wasn't going to be good, but kind of wanted to watch something mindless since I was getting a bit tired, but wanted to watch something. But yeah, it wasn't very good. Only reason I gave it a 3 and not lower is because the guy was funny at times, whether or not it was intentional.

This is more of a supernatural mystery with horror elements than straight up horror. It's a pretty good movie that grew on me after I'd watched it. It's a bit confusing but that may be because of bad translation and dubbing idk. The cover art on the right is awesome but misleading. I'd say the atmosphere and mystery elements kept me going on this one. It's a slow burn and there are similarities to Pet Sematary right to the final shot which makes me wonder.

[Lon of the Dead]

^^^ I rented Revenge of the Dead back in the early '90s based on the promise of ravenous zombies made by that cover. Suffice to say I was thoroughly disappointed, and quickly put the flick out of my mind. About ten years later I picked up Zeder, not knowing it was the same movie, and, having forgotten the experience of watching it that first time a decade before, found it a lot more enjoyable.

The moral of this story: Never judge a horror movie by its VHS cover and alternate title.

True. You know they are mostly going to be misleading duds but every now and then you're rewarded with a gem.

If Sorority House Massacre and The Majorettes had a severely autistic child it would come out something like this. I give it an extra point because it is a pure slasher which I can usually enjoy on some level regardless of how awful everything else might be.
