I'm curious what anyone that's seen this thinks of it. I'd never heard of this one before. I try to blind watch as much as possible and kinda chase the rainbow hoping to discover something awesome. Score. It's got some Suspiria going on + some Lair Of The White Worm + it's own weird gothic neo noir stuff. Even the music was good.

Never heard iof it either which is sursprising seeing how old it is. Then again I wasn't necessarily looking out for foreign flicks back in the day - nor would've had the kind of access to them back then on the scale that people do today. Think i'll look for it.

For a low budget horror movie that's nearly two hours long this was very, very impressive. I'm actually going to have to re-watch it soon because I didn't realize Jake and Mitch were played by the same actor until over halfway through.

The Legend of Hell House (1973). Another old favorite I've seen dozens of times yet never get tired of.

Carnage (1984). Any genre fan worth their salt is at least aware of the late Andy Milligan and his particular brand of low-budget horror/splatter/exploitation flicks (many of which he filmed in and around his own Staten Island estate in order to save on production costs). This one, about a couple who move into a house and find themselves haunted by the previous tenants, who committed murder/suicide in the house on their wedding day, is probably his most technically accomplished movie -- but that is in no way saying much. Top-of-the-line Milligan is still bottom-of-the-barrel everyone else, but at least the story makes a bit more sense than his usual and some of the FX work better. Still far from recommendable, though knowledge of Milligan's real life history tends to add a certain amount of dark understanding to his nihilistic celluloid debacles. 3/10

If an erotic, supernatural, kung-fu, splatter, rape and revenge flick sounds like a good time then here you go. Very entertaining and pretty interesting culturally. I'm not sure if the black and white magic rituals were close to being authentic but it wouldn't surprise me if they were.

^^^ I actually liked that movie -- which only makes sense if you understand that I have what would be considered an improbably charitable affinity for no-budget SOV flicks. Incidentally, I prefer its original VHS title, "Eyes Are Upon You." The title was changed to the bland "Demon Lust" for its DVD release.

I can respect that. You'd probably like I'll Bury You Tomorrow. It has that same feel.
