Rise of the Machine Girls.

Strangeness as only the Japanese can do it...This is not a Nishimura film, but it very well could have been - the director of this one must have taken a lot of inspiration from him... Plenty of spraying blood, samurai sword fights and bullets flying everywhere. Unless you get an unusual amount of nerdy enjoyment from over-the-top Japanese cinny, like I do, it would be hard to recommend this. However, I have developed a taste for these kind of films and I had a real good time! Also, I really do like Japanese women drenched in blood.

Been thinking about checking that one out.

Nick Cassavetes still gets around i see. I always liked his role as Packard in the 80's scifi flick The Wraith. You wouldn't believe the amount of people i've talked to who grew up in - and around - my age range who have never heard of The Wraith. He's also the son of John Cassavetes from Rosemary's Baby, The Dirty Dozen, and others fame.

Japanese karate flim starring Sonny Chiba, the first of a trilogy - I recently bought the Arrow set. The story is pretty unimportant, but the action is near non-stop... AND there was some gore as well - eyes poked out, teeth knocked out, balls ripped off, throat ripped, skulls crushed. Hahah!
Anyone who enjoys a good "beat em up" film will get a major kick from this. I am looking forward to watching the second one, as rumor has it - it outdoes the first one.

Sonny Chiba is back, kickin' arse. Entirely enjoyable! The fights are as crazy, if not more, than in the first film. Beat em up!

The Street Fighter's Last Revenge.

Third and final street fighter film, and also the weakest of the trilogy by far. Sonny Chiba is cool, and there are a couple good fights with some nice moves, but...then he has to fight a guy who errr shoots laser beams and wears a sombrero for some reason.
Yep, pretty weak compared to the other two films, but still enjoyable in an odd and unintentionally funny way.

Arena, (1989).

A very fun film, tho with a PG-13 rating -- only a little bit of blood in this one, so its pretty family friendly. Anyways, the action is fun and the alien designs are fantastic.

Another film by Neil Marshall, with the usual characteristics: totally non-boring action, good visuals and a very thin story. This one is actually pretty gory as well.
