Its worth a watch, but I wouldn't go ahead and buy it. The movie is just sleazy and classic 80's dirt imo , the Savini scene is good, you'll know what I mean when you see it.

Maniac is a great movie. A lot better than 90% of the shit being released now.

Maniac is an excellent movie. Very depraved. It is a very different movie than most slashers since its not "a guy in a mask". If I lived in NYC during the dark era, and saw this movie....I would be moving.

I actually own the advance US poster for the movie...the international poster is to much $$

Maniac is sweet.
Town that dreaded sundown is sort of based on the "Phantom Killer" that terrorized the town of Texarkana back in 1946. Personally I thought the movie was decent enough for a watch.

'Maniac' is pure exploitation greatness. I mean the movie really isn't very good but the violence is unforgiving, the special effects great and watching Joe Spinell is always a treat.

And the poster kicks all sorts of ass.

you can check out a clip from Maniac 2 on youtube, they filmed the scene before he died, pretty sweet scene. seems as if they were going to make a little franchise out of it.
