I'm seeing it next week, when I get time.

Seeing it tonight, can't wait.

8/10
The opening scene will please any gore fan! We also get a little more backstory of Jigsaw. It got confusing at times but I thought it was still quite enjoyable!

Should be called "Saw it be IV."
Besides being repetitive, this film's biggest fault is that the development isn't very interesting. These SAW movies are really in essence about appropriate punishment meant to highlight personal faults. The problem is, the film is to impatient to jump forward to the next big torture set piece, there isn't any time to establish anyone's character.

Very enjoyable and way better than Saw 3(Which gets a 4/10 from me)
Saw 4 gets a 8/10. Amazing traps and very enjoyable. The opening scene is AMAZING.
But pay attention, cuz you will get lost easily if you dont!

I agree. They throw so many characters into the piece that not only are you confused, but by the time you realize who they are, they are gone. And there is no time to create a viewer/character bond with them. The one thing I like about the Saw series is that the characters aren't really expendable, and the last 2 have been loaded with set up/punch kinda deaths and it's becoming a little by the numbers for me.

Too rushed, negating background on test subjects that is well known in prior Saws and actually allowed the audiance relate with the subjects.
Twists were weak, even guessed at points.
The whole film gave me the 'made another one to cash in on the name' feelings so apparent in many unnecessary sequals. Another Saw would be ill advised, unless they go back to basics that made the first so entertaining.

Entertaining, but I have a few questions.

I enjoy all the SAW movies, I really do. This was so exception, I thought it was very entertaining, however I have a few questions....
Did the events in this movie happen at the same time as the previous?
Or were they just flashbacks? I assumed they were just flashbacks.
I could be wrong though.
I suppose if I get my first question answered, I would know the answer to this, but...
The FBI agent shooting the crazed guy who lost his wife (the doctor) in the third. Is it meant to have gone from present to past? Or was this guy trapped in this building for that long?
Overall, I thought it was a good movie. I just need some things cleared up.
Also, this was my first pleasant movie going experience in awhile. You would think with teenagers in the movie, they would be talking. But no, it was a mom and daughter in front of me. They whispered throughout and while it wasn't really distracting, I just wanted to tell the girl if she needed her mom to explain EVERYTHING to her, why see the movie?

I just got back from my second screening of it. And i have to say this film stands right where it belongs and was a great installment. This film has all of the elements of the first 3 film which makes it so great. Saw: Mystery, Nail-biting Suspense/Saw 2:Action pacing/Saw 3: Emotion. I give it a B.
