I'm actually pretty interested in who they'll have play Jason. He's kind of synonymous now with the huge, towering, no-less-than-200-pound stunt men. I wonder if they'll go a different direction here. Remember how skinny and frail looking he was as a child? Maybe they'll make him more disfigured and frail looking.

But, unlike Halloween, I'd hate to see them try to add sentiment to that Jason story or get us to sympathize with him.

If you want Jason to run and be more human like. Hodder isnt the answer. Although I wouldnt doubt it if they make him human but still make him a statue as its been in vogue for so long. Studios seem afraid to make the killers more menacing by running unless its a roided zombie.

CJ Graham (Part 6) is more than willing to come back from what i hear. I think he captured the picture Jason who didnt run but certainly looked like he could move. I mean look at those scenes of him walking in the woods, he isnt going slow but he isnt running. A nice balance if you ask me. He also isnt hulking like hodder.

I am probably one of the few people who didnt like Hodders work beyond part 7 and 8... i mean nine and ten were utter crap and his Jason was part of that reason.

If tommy jarvis gets put in at all....Thom Matthews needs to play him. In any event....the magic of the first film was that it WASN'T jason...it was a who-dun-it slasher which is always better. I'm not as worried about this one as I was Halloween because 1..Zomboid isn't doing it, 2...it seems like it's sticking to the general formula of the series...straight out slasher with gore and boobs galore...3..I loved the TCM remake, and I really enjoyed FvJ.

They might as well get someone totally unknown to play Jason at this point if they're going to keep the 'reimaging/remake/new' aspect alive much longer.

Well, it's not Zombie doing the second one, there's an interview with him on MTV's website from the set while they were still filming in which he said he'd definitely not be coming back for a sequel but he would welcome anyone's attempt to make their own.

Right...but the point is, Zombie made a big deal about how his Myer's was "human"...how he wasn't "the shape" but just an ordinary guy. I was simply pointing out yet another flaw in his horrible remake.

Jason Goes To Hell came out in 93. Jason X came out in 2002, 9 years later.

Time between movies has nothing to do with whether or not a series is actually dead. Hell, it took them like 5 years to come out with a sequel after H20.
