ive never seen this. Weird saying that considering I like old horror and sci-fi flicks. But I get the feeling if something like this was to get remade they wouldnt treat it like "just another remake"

It was remade as an anime flick in 200...1 i believe.
No need to remake it. There is no way they can ever up the original. Another pointless remake for people too lazy to rent dvd's.

Yeah it's public domain. but supposedly there's a lot of different cuts out there and the quality of some are pretty bad. Kino Video's DVD is considered a pretty good treatment of the film.
