The first half of this video is pre-Stormstrike, before Enhance could DW. But Enhance can still equip a 2H and still get wicked Windfury procs. It's always been a spec that's subject to RNG but now they can also Lava Burst and a few other tricks at range, not to mention those damned wolves. You can still find 2H Enhance fanatics though, having their fun.

In the "lowbie" ranks there's actually very little that's game changing compared with classic WoW. Even full heirloom gear doesn't come close to what real gear of equivalent minimum level brings to the table. There are some spells that didn't exist, some that you can't get this early and some that don't exist anymore but sub "end game" things aren't night and day different, except for leveling not taking near as long. Lowbie PvP is still fun as hell. Problem is, this expansion in particular, there's been very little World-PvP done or produced by the better players. Arena videos suck, for the most part.

Here's one not quite so old that's also a goodie...




Between then and now the biggest difference for Elemental-Shaman is Lightning Bolt can be cast while moving now via glyph, and the big yellow numbers are generally 2-4X as big now. Older PvP videos can still be useful and entertaining, but, here you go, here's some more current stuff...



...only recently into warriors myself, with a little alt at lvl49 now. Fun stuff being able to chain-kill three or four players in a BG as a tank. Here's one that I recently started following...he quit for a while to dick around in SWTOR I 'spose but is coming back I read.

LOL, it's still 10M subscribers relevant, or approximately 10X as relevant as most any other "successful" MMO. In another three or four years they might actually slide back down to how relevant they were when they rendered EQ2 irrelevant, and still have more subscribers than most other pay MMOs will ever see at their peak.

But they're not as relevant as they were 5 years ago. They have lost 3 million subscibers, and have been on a decline steadily for the past 2 years... every month the lose subscribers. I am not taking away from what they are.... they're the biggest MMO ever, but like I said they are on a decline. They are going the same route as Everquest... EQ was huge, but expansioned itself to death. And I wasn't even bashing them for doing that, I am saying they will do anything to keep themselves relevant... they're a bussiness after all.

And your numbers are off since they're not 10X higher then some games.... Aion has roughly 4 million, and SWTOR has almost 2 million.

Ah, gotcha. It just sounded like similar punditry I've read elsewhere, almost like folks are cheering the decline, or calling what exists somehow a failure. Ever increasing numbers of subscribers though, how could anyone rightfully think that was sustainable? (like housing prices in Los Angeles, oh yeah, millionaires love living in crack houses) Even though the major percentage of lost subscriptions were in Asia, which doesn't even follow the same subscription model or bring in as much money per subscriber, there was going to be a ceiling and possible eventual correction or post-hype dip regardless of the real or perceived issues with this expansion. But they were a juggernaut at 6M subscribers in 2006.

That was actually just directed at Rift's guestimate at one million subscribers.

WoW fucking blows

Rift truly is on an incline, while people are un-subbing from WoW. A lot of people in my guild have left WoW for Rift. So..can't argue that Rift is barely a year old as well
