    The Cell 2

New Line Home Enetertainment’s The Cell 2 began principal photography last month, according to Video Business. Its story line is under wraps, but Kasha confirms it does extend the franchise, which kicked off with 2000 theatrical The Cell starring Jennifer Lopez. This next installment, slated for third-quarter 2008, stars Frank Whaley (Vacancy) and Tessie Santiago.
Found this at Bloody and Disgusting.
Seems this'll be a DTD release. I'm mixed honestly, as I loved the first one (J-Lo is actully bearable, but not much) and a sequel could work if the story is done just right, but still....I don't know.

I feel the same way just about. I loved the first one but I think it's better as a stand alone film.

    What movie did you watch?

Vincent D'Onofrio did one of the greatest performances as a villian character ever, the "Where you come from?!" scene is by far my favorite. This also shows that Vince Vaughn sometimes should really come back to serouse films and not so many comedys.

First was okay, and J-Lo was lookin' good in it, but I'll likely skip this. Just another unnecessary straight-to-DVD sequel.

I enjoyed the first one too. I am not really interested in this though.

I liked the first one.Even though I dont like theaters I would love to see the first one on big screen mainly because the movie was so visually pleasing unlike your normal horror movie.
