New Nightmare was alright. Provided a realistic approach.

I liked that it brought back the serious tone of the first film, and would probably place it right behind the first film in terms of quality.

Yeah, definitely thought the seventh was one of the best sequels. I never saw the third one, which everyone seems to think is the best of the sequels, but I've seen all the others and the only ones I liked were pt. 2 and FvJ.
