I loved it, hated it, thought it was brilliant, thought it was a mind-fuck and everything in between.

I just got back from seeing it and I thought it was alright. Some parts were funny and insane, but the rest was kinda boring and slow that makes you want to fall a sleep. I should seen the old one first. Anyways this movie was kinda disappointed on were they kill the family and in up cutting out the scene on when they kill them. I guess if they have the unrated version I'm sure it will better.


I also thought it was funny that they were playing grindcore music at the beginning and when the credits run up. There were old people seeing this movie as well. rofl

Its supposed to be an anti-violence movie thats why they didn't show any violence in the movie. There wont be an unrated version.

I am probably gonna get thrashed for this but. . .

I fucking hated this movie. I dont know why and I dont really care. It seemed to drag on for what seemed like ages. I got up to get a refill on my soda and use the restroom during one scene and when I came back it was still on the same fucking shot (I shit you not. That shot (not scene) lasted close to 15 fucking minutes.)
3/10 due to the semi entertaining antics of the main villian (talking to the audience and rewinding the scene to name a couple)

Yeah, I can see that. When I watched the original I was thinking "this is so drawn out" but then after it was over, I kind of thought that was intentional in some way.

The movie was about this long, drawn out ordeal the family goes through and when it's over you're just as tired and exhausted (and maybe as tense?) as the family probably was.

Then agian, that could just be my film school over-analyzation self talking. I dunno.

nah its not your film school over-analyzation. it was suppose to make the family feel like that and give the audience of the feel.
