I dunno. I really didn't consider 15 minutes of a woman trying to stay on the hood of a car action. Just seemed boring... I was like, okay, either kill her or don't.

I have to say that I absolutey loved every second of this movie, from the perfect cinematography im the beginning to the quirky songs throughout, I felt like I was seeing a genuine grindhouse film.

Planet Terror was fun to watch so i like it much more than DP.

Of the two, PLANET TERROR is the better movie. DEATH PROOF is the better Grindhouse movie imo. Most Grindhouse movie suck horribly. They're terribly acted and boring as fuck, but they generally have something that makes you go holy shit. (An explosion that is way too big and looks incredibly unsafe and accidental. An amazing car chase that was probably done illegally, or in the case of DEATH PROOF, an amazing car chase with a girl flying all over the hood with out any safety rigging.)

Tarantino made a true Grindhouse movie. Complete crap with one memorable scene. Russell getting the shit kicked out of him was a nice capper.

Death Proof was a piece of shit. Boring, dialogue heavy and terribly short on plot. If I want to see three women babbling on about some inane subject(s), I'll turn on The View. If that's what Tarentino wanted to accomplish, hats off to him. Planet Terror carried Grindhouse.

All of Tarantino's movies are dialogue heavy. Why would you expect this to be any different?

Planet Terror kicked Death Proof's balls off for me, the zombie movie was much more thrilling and interesting than Quentin's "Kill Bill-type" of horror movie where bitches are going to kill the "monster" so to say...

I only loved Death Proof for Stuntman Mike's scenes in the first half of the movie, and as I've read on here I totally agree that the Tarantino dialouge was completely dragging and unneccessary and I could only love the one girl's death scene in Mike's car and the climactic car crash. When the second half came with those annoying unrealistic whores from Tennesse came into play the movie was over.

This is one of those things that really annoyed me about Quentin, his long one-liners to make badass characters, making chicks the upper-hand of heroism (which all and all is not a big deal, but for me I perfer busty, pornstar-like women to take this flag, like in Heavy Metal 1&2, just doing it with thin bitchy-whore girls like these it was so anti-climactic and forgettable) and taking out Stuntman Mike...you can't do that to "Snake Pliskan"!...that's wrong!...

Preferred Planet Terror to Death Proof.

Just a better constructed, balls to the wall, zany kind of movie which is what Robert does well IMO. Death Proof spent way too much time on the build to the end that it became painfully boring and for all that dialogue I could've given two fucks less about any of the characters involved in the movie except for Stuntman Mike.
