I personally don't get the big deal with this movie. Not much happens until the last 15 or so minutes. It reminds me of 'The Howling'. All hype and little action. Tom Atkins does kick ass though.

There's certainly better 80's cheese out there.

Horror fans are ultra-defensive about this movie for some reason. Not sure why...there's really nothing all that good or stand-out about it.

I mean, if you enjoy it and find it fun, fine. But to act like it's high art...

To me it's one of those films thats get by on it's reputation as being a 'cult classic' more so than it's actual quality.

This movie is not exactly legendary to me, but I do place it in that "80s/90s movies so crappy they are worth watching" movie catagory along with similar quality crap like 'killer clowns from outter space'. B-movies that are fun by design rather than failure.

People clearly like this because it's one of those movies that suck so badly that it grows on you, like that weird girl (or guy for the female UHM users) that you think is a complete dingbat, but you eventually realize that they are actually pretty awesome.

Don't care if people think this is a Piece o' shit , overrated, underrated, etc. I thought the movie was loads of fun, nothing more. Combining all kinds of cliches, in jokes and cheesy humor to make for an entertaining movie.
