Not sure if this has been enlightened upon anywhere else on the board but I was reading through Fango at B&N today and learned a little more about the plot.

Basically, there is this guy who has multiple personalities (hold off on your cliche' hating). He's a father/husband, but like you guess, one of his personalities is that of a serial killer. Anyway, he dies or gets killed or whatever and Bug, his son, finds out that he and his six other friends now hold the "souls" of his psycho-father's personalities.

So yeah, he has been reincarnated as one of the 7 teens but he's also in all of them I'm guessing. Kinda cool I think, especially with each of the kids representing a part of this MPD guy's psyche.
