Is 30 Days of Night worth my time and/or money?

I love a good vampire movie from time to time, especially if it shows them biting people (I am a sick fuck) and I always intended to see 30 Days of Night but never got around to it. It is available to rent starting tomorrow and I was wondering if it's worh my time and/or money?

You aren't alone on that one, I hate seeing dogs getting killed. As far as I remember, theres blood splatter, and it shows the dogs dead, but I could be wrong.

i thought the trailer made it look pretty good...the scene where it show some lady and a vampire and shes like"please god" then the vamp goes "no god" i thought that was nuts..ill prolly eventully get around to watching it..i think i have it on my computer

Compared to all the other shitty vampire movies that have come come out in recent years I thought this movie was pretty good. I thought the vampires in 30 Days of Night looked ten times better than the vampires in I Am Legend but unlike I Am Legend this movie kinda skimmed over the details of how the people survived 30 days of vampire hell and that bothered my a little.

very good movie. I love the graphic novel. Camera gets a little shaky at times but all in all it is deffinatly worth a rent. I'm buying it myself. I hope they continue the story with sequals but I dunno if they will.
