Heard it was more of a slasher movie than the original. Which isn't really a bad thing, I like a good enough slasher flick. But is it a rehash of the first one? I hate when most DTV sequals do that, and most of them do.

Not exactly, they try to throw in some new stuff in there to keep it interesting. It's half and half, I guess.
