Blood Simple

Saw this flick for the first time by the Coen Bros. and thought it was really good. I can see why it has gotten so much praise over the years, and while watching, I saw some early "No Country" in it, especially in the beginning.

Only problem I really had with the flick was the whole day-night transcending after the murder. The days went by quick, with our leads constantly taking naps for some reason, leaving me to wonder is the bar closed all this time? or the workers still opening the bar, thinking Marty's still in Corpus? Minor little detail that can be overlooked, but it's just one of those things that I wonder about.

Totally love the Cohen Brothers. I like their 'crime' flicks a bit more than their comedies (save Big Lebowski)!

Good movie, one of my fav's beside's No Country For Old Men that's by them and also one of there overlooked and underrated films they have done.

I really need to see this one the whole way through, but the DVD is out of print and I can't find it in any rental stores anymore... it used to be on the movie channels a lot, and I always caught bits and pieces of it.
