just finished watching this on the watch now section of Netflix and wow, this was one great documentary. This guy Steve Weibe (sp) tries to beat the world record of Donkey Kong set by Billy Mitchell back in the 80s. This movie really opened my eyes about Billy Mitchell. The guy apparently is a little bitch.
I won't spoil things for those who wanna watch it, but Mitchell keeps being challenged to play Steve live and he keeps making excuses. And then he's a total ass about it. Your pulling for the underdog really really badly in this one. And theres this guy who is friends with Bill Mitchell named Brian Kuh, this guy annoyed me so bad I wanted to jump through the screen and choke him. You'll know what I mean if you've seen this movie.
It was almost like their was a conspiracy to try and keep Mitchell on top even though Steve was obviously kicking ass at the game. Halfway through the movie you realize this thing isn't even about the game any more. The reason Steve Weibe is trying so hard is because he's getting pushed around. They keep basically doing everything they can to keep Steve from getting the official record but they'll just step aside for Bill Mitchell cuz they love him so much. I yelled out "WHAT!?!?" more times than I can count while watching this flick. If you like underdog stories, and even if you don't like video games you should check out this flick.
