Prom Night (remake) = Total Waste

Just got back from this horrible remake. Bland slasher with a weak story that's been done thousand's of times. Even the killer blew.

Knowing who he was right from the start ruined everything.

The first 3 minutes were decent, after that it was all downhill folks. Made alot of money it's 1st weekend, that's for sure...big deal. This movie flat out sucked in the worst way. Made the original, (which IMO was a Carrie ripoff to some degree), look like a classic. Couldn't wait for it to end.

The film has gotten a surprisingly decent amount of positive reviews and made a good amount at the box office, which is bad news for us, since it means that the remake craze won't be dying down anytime soon.

I know this is off subject, but I Was wonderin' where u got the mickey Mouse picture from... and I finally watched that episode hahah pretty funny

anyways, I'll watch this movie when it comes online in a good version, not gonna waste my money on it in the threaters.

I'm willing to bet that 75% of the people that saw this film over the weekend didn't even know about the original Prom Night. Then again, the youngins' probably don't even know who Jamie Lee Curtis is either. heh

I was just watching the original classic on Scream the other night. It's such a great horror movie for it's time. Aside form hating the fact they remade this movie I am more upset with the plot. How stupid could it possible be. I was watching it and the first thing that popped into my head was I know what you did last summer. I'm not sure why. I hated it BUT it was much better than the April Fools Day remake.

thanx to this movie making $22 mill at the box office we'll see more crap like this. PG-13 slasher movies that makes no sense. Next time something like this comes out, don't go see it. I'm not even gonna bother with this one. I couldn't even sit through the original.

You think so? This new generation saw Scream which mentioned Prom Night several times I believe. If anything you would think that would have sparked interest

The original was never intended to be a horror film. They made a suspenser and it got marketed as a slasher during the 80's slasher craze. Oh and it sucked.
