I'm pretty sure you just contradicted yourself... there's no way possible a movie could be awesome and serious with a name like GI Joe, I'd rather settle with awesome and cheese.... like they're doing with Speed Racer.

How can I be contradicting myself when my statement was that of mockery and not of a serious nature? Obviously a GI Joe movie can't be anything beyond B-level cheese (atleast anyone who isn't perpetually 10 years old knows this), so there for using "awesome" and "serious" when talking about GI Joe the movie is clearly being used for humor purposes.

Then you'd be bitching about them making the movie corny when they could have made some super awesome serious GI Joe movie. Just admit it, there is nothing that could have been done in this movie that would make you happy. Besides it would look really fucking stupid if you had a guy dressed up a sailor, one dressed up in camouflage fatigues, one dressed up as a scuba diver, another dressed up as a ninja, etc. attack Cobra all the while screaming "Go, Joe!"

The one thing you are right about though is Sommers is a shitty director.

no I agree with you that it'd be nothing more than a campy B-movie. But even with the changes they've made its still gonna be that. Mine as well make it look like its supposed to. Nothing wrong with changing outfits, but these guys look nothing like their counterparts aside from Snake Eyes. I just don't like that.

EDIT: Ok I read on, and while I freaked out over it, atleast he is gonna wear his mask when he goes into battle. I still think that sucks, but its what i expected Sommers to do from the get go. And that link to "destro" also has a link to storm shadow where he IS wearing a mask. That I'm happy about.
