I saw it in the theater with the woman I would later marry.
Now my wife lets our oldest son watch it, with remote control in hand to fast forward over the scary parts. "No Mary Jane! I've had a crush on you since we were seven, but I'm too big of a pussy to have dinner with you! WAAAAAAHHHHH!"
(My son, for what it's worth, is quite a fan of Spider-Man. He dressed as Spider-Man for Halloween. He brushes his teeth on a Spider-Man toothbrush. He's watching the new Spectacular series on our DVR right now. Also, for what it's worth, I love the new cartoon despite and sometimes because of its deviations from the source material.)
But anyway, I just don't agree that watching dudes mope is the same as reading comic books. I do have higher hopes for TDK than Begins, but I still think that Iron Man is going to be the one to beat this year. Maybe even this decade.
