I'm stuck in Bawbwa Walters mode!
But enough jokes, time for the review...
PLOT
Tony Stark is injured anad kidnapped in...well I'll assume its Afganistan, and manages escape via a crude suit of armor. Having a change of heart about being a weapons manufacturer he decides to stop makign them, unfortunately his company isnt cool with this and his business parter Stane has his own agenda.
Very nice plot, taken almost directly from the comic book itself. You all know I'm not an easy guy to please for the most part, so I'm hoping this says something.

SCRIPT
This script is very smooth, no real plotholes, some good character development, and some nice action was written here. Unfortunately I really wanted a bigger climax, and more resolution at the end. Felt a little gypted at that.
This is a very light PG-13 film, for the most part. Not much cursing, very little blood and no graphic violence. However things get pretty dark when you see the Militias wraking havoc through out a small town. The content itself is pretty vicious, even if you dont see people being machine gunned on camera.
Even with the darker content, its a pretty light film and its a lot of fun, and pretty damn funny. Fans of the comics WILL be pleasant that the movie is very smooth, and manages to be a damn perfect adaptation of the 50 year old comic.

ACTING
Good solid performances, Robert Downy Jr. And Terewence Howard really have managed to bring the comic characters to life. I look forward to seeing Howard as War machine in the next film.
jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane was a pretty good Villain, I enjoyed how he played 'nice' in front of the camera and publuc, but had his own agenda going on the entire time. The 'business politics' aspect was quite good, unfortunately Stane wasnt dark enough when he put on the suit.
I felt he should have been more vicous as the Iron Monger. A littl emor eliek the comic book character was.
Gwenyth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, well..hmm...I'm not a Fan of her as an actress, she wasn't bad, but her performance just didnt do it for me. She seemed too much in the background.
The majority of the cast was solid and pleasant to watch. I loved th eperformance of the Scientist that is with Stark in the begining of the film, a brief role, but he really managed to put heart into the character.
9/10
MUSIC
Good music, fits the film perfectly.the Use of the old 'IRON MAN' song during th ecredits was a wonderfult addition to an alreayd great film.
9/10
EFFECTS
The CGI in the film is really great stuff, blends in almost flawlessly.I wasnt sure when Robert Downey jr. was wearing a costume and when the character was all CGI.
God Bless Stan Winston for his amazing talent on the creation of what seems to be uncreatable.
10/10
EDITING
Very smooth, medium to fast paced film, doesnt get much better than this. Seriously, this films pacing was damn near flawless.
10/10
DIRECTION
Had Some Reservations to Jon Favraeu as a director at first, but I remembered he was a comic geek and figured he was probably the best choice. His direction is really great here, the visuals, the performances, eveyrthing works.
But he nails it and managed to create and almost perfect film.
9/10
FUNFACTOR
See it, see it now. and maybe later. Its the type of film you can actually watch twice ina weekend and have just as much fun both times.

73/80= 'A'
The last word:
This film ought to age well, while it needed a smidge more in the resolution department, and climaxe department, it doesnt change how well it really managed to suceed.
Its worth your $9.
