    Anyone Wanna Help Me Out?

So I decided on a script to send in to a few competitions over the next few months. It's horror of course. I just wanted a few more people who know how scripts read and know horror to give me their opinions. My friends barely watch horror outside of remakes so yeah...

If anyone would be up for reading one in the next day or so I'd be hella thankful. Here's my detailed summary.

The Survivor - When Casey and a few new friends hit the lonely highway one night, they don't expect to be followed. Even more so, they don't expect the stranger following them to pull out a shotgun and start killing them off one by one. And by dawn, only Casey is left, barely alive, but having survived the attack.

Two years later, Casey is a young woman trying to move on with her life. Although she has bouts of depression, Casey is part of a healing group full of people who have survived similar events. Things are actually starting to look good again...

...Until she hears him. The man who killed her friends. She sees him, the very familiar face. And in one moment she decides to follow him, grabbing a bucther knife on the way. Before long she has him bound and trapped in his own home, ready to exact her revenge. But is he really the man she's looking for?

Everytime she proves a point, another is shot down, and Casey doesn't know what to do. And at this moment of weakness, the stranger strikes again. He locks her away and tells her that he's going to finish what he started.

But Casey isn't going to be a victim again. She's going to fight back and kill this man... no matter what.

Think High Tension meets Hard Candy if you want a larger idea of what I'm going for. So yeah... any takers? :wideeye:

It sounds pretty good, think it could be a good flick if done right.

Its 96 pages. And I can't post it somewhere cause of the Final Draft format. Or if I can I haven't a clue how.

You can resave it in PDF format, but I'd recommend getting it AT LEAST WGA registered first.

That's very true, despite the fact that copyright exists inherently upon the creation of the work in a tangible form, it's good to have a little documented proof of sorts should you ever get into any legal battles. WGA East is only $20 for ten years reg, with the option to renew, and you can do it all online. There's also WGA West, and the LOC (Library of Congress). Myself I'd register the script with the LOC, and for added protection go with one of the WGAs.

I like your concept. Not all that original, but it could be a lot of fun. Personally, I'd play up her depression and how being post-heart attack affects her.

Like said before, don't even bother with sending it without a copyright.

I'd love to look at it after you have it all protected.
