Yes Monsters have been under utilized in film as of late. There have been a few like Cloverfield that I have enjoyed. But where are the cenobites of today?

I did like The Mist and stuff, but like you said, where are the cenobites? We don't even get our werewolves cool anymore.

We are also going to do a segment about Fred Vogel and ToeTag Pictures, Brian Paulin and Morbid vision films, Ftbomp, The Gore-Met, and we are still looking for bands and artist to piece this thing together. The second is a horror film entitled "Well of the Watcher" it will be our attempt to make monsters scary again. The script is in the works. This is cooking on the backburner as the Gateway Meat just came out and I've been trying to spent abit of time to promote it. The third is another brutal horror film I wrote a few years back called "The Love Test" I may or may not bring this project to the forefront as it would be easiest for me to self-fund. It's a brutal torture film that explores the very meaning of love. It's got's some brutal gore sequences as well as more than a few twist and turns.
I had no idea you had that many people working on the documentary, I saw the DEP pic on the ftomp site. I'm personally looking foward especially now that I know so many great people are contributing to it. Have you thought about or tried getting Ion Dissonance for it?

Considering how fucked up The Gateway Meat was, I can't imagen how nasty 'The Love Test' will get when torture is going to one of the main points to the film. Also looking forward to what you have in mind for a monster flick, probably won't be able to sleep with lights off for long time after it comes out.

I got so happy when he mentioned the monster movie, that I totally forgot to comment about the documentary.

It sounds great, especially with Fred Vogel and Brian Paulin. I haven't really "gotten into" Brian, but Bone Sickness is one hell of a movie, so it would be very interesting to see this. Since I'm a huge Toetag fan, I'm very stoked for the Vogel segment too, of course.

Can't wait till I know how much I get paid this month, so that I can see if I have afford to order Gateway Meat.

Btw guys, the site said something about it costing $30, and something-something-shipping. Was it that the shipping is jammed in the price?

Yeah, $30 covers the movie and the shipping.

Yeah its pretty bad that the US dollar has replaced the peso in jokes of how pathetic its value is.

Well between paypal fees, bubble mailers, gas to go to the post, and postage It cost me about $10 to ship overseas. It's a little better to ship in the US but not that much. We are still $5000 in the hole also So that is the reason for the price tag on it. In order for us to keep doing what we doing what we do we need to get out of the red. It's an obtainable goal it will just take time and work.

In all honesty I found the price to be very fair, it could be worse you could be like Lucifer expecting the fans to pay $50 for a signed DVD-R. When we pay $30 and get a limited edition DVD that is signed by everyone or close to everyone involved.

$30 is nothing, I was surprised by the low price.
The dollar being so low makes it cost about as much as a new release does in Sweden WITHOUT shipping. So yeah, $30 is sweet as hell. Buying it tonight!

Hey gang thanks for the support on that one. We work hard to deliver quality in all aspects of our productions from make-up to original score and foley work. I've surrounded myself with a good network of people who have alot of talent. We only plan to get bigger and better with each project.

An excellent, in-depth review of The Gateway Meat.

Yeah I was blown away by this review. Raymond Casta writes great reviews and I'm not just saying that because he gave TGM a glowing review. He recently sent me a screen play about the transformation of a teenager into a serial killer. Well written and tremendously brutal.

Hopefully this is a sign of a future collaboration.

I agree though, Ray has always done an excellent job of reviewing movies. He has quite a knack for breaking down and analyzing the various levels of a movie, whether I agree with him or not they are always worth a read.

Ray was one of the very first to find ftbomp in late 05' when he reviewed Eating Razors (a love story) for www.Severed-cinema.com
He has been a good friend to us. As far as future colaberations go I'm am willing to work with others we'll have to see what the future brings. Right now I have to work 2 jobs to make ends meet so I'm in writting mode at least until fall.

2 jobs? Goddamnit, I'm going crazy over one.
Good to see filmmakers putting everything into their projects. I haven't seen any of your movies yet, but I'm already a fan :wideeye:

What kills me as an artist is trying to build the networks. I don't post on forums about my work (except for at TTP) unless someone else starts the thread because people attack you and call you a spammer and can be just plain rude. I get the fact that ALOT of people are producing ALOT of really bad horror movies. Sometimes though you find those of us who take what we do very seriously.
